HANDS ON RECIPE COMPETITION!

Hands On is launching a fantastic range of Food Technology resources for 2009, with everything you need to get your students excited about chopping, grating, peeling, mashing, rolling, spreading and squeezing!
The range will comprise of two great value Resource Kits – Baking and Utensils, as well as a host of other items to equip your Food Technology area and inspire children to develop a great range of cooking skills. We want to put together two Hands On Recipe Sets to include with our fantastic Baking and Utensils Kits, and we need your help!
We are looking for your best tried and tested sandwich and biscuit recipes, with the top recipes to be included in our Recipe Sets and our favourites to be rewarded with a Hands On Food Technology Kit worth £45! Your recipes need to be as easy as possible for a Primary class to make, and the more original the better!
Just email your recipe ideas with your name and school name to recipes@handson.co.uk, and write “Sandwiches & Biscuits” in the subject box. We look forward to reading all your yummy ideas!
   
Check out the competition rules;
1. The competition is open to all UK and Channel Island residents. Parental or guardian's consent is required for any participant aged under 18.
2. Closing date for receipt of entries is 5pm GMT 31/12/08. No recipes received after that date and time will qualify for entry into the competition.
3. Entry must be made by emailing recipes@handson.co.uk. Entrant should state his / her name, school/establishment name where relevant, email address, postal address, telephone number and the entrant's recipe for a sandwich or biscuit. Entries received cannot be returned.
4. The entrant's recipe should be the entrant's own work and must be original and must not have been previously published or exploited in any part and will not infringe any copyright, right of privacy, right of publicity or personality or any other right whatsoever of any third party. The entrants must be the sole author of the recipe The entrant shall indemnify and hold Commotion Group harmless from any claims, actions, proceedings, costs and expenses arising as a result of any allegation that the entrant did not own or is not wholly entitled and authorised to allow publication and reproduction of the work by Commotion Group.
5. Entry to the competition implies that permission has been given to publish the recipes submitted in a recipe book (which will be retailed at a later date) or to use or publish them in the future for Commotion Group’s brand related activity without payment to the entrant. Commotion Group hereby agrees to accredit the entrant as the author where possible.
6. There are two prizes, one for each category – sandwiches and biscuits. The overall prize for the sandwich category is a Hands On Utensils Kit and the overall prize for the biscuit category is a Hands On Baking Kit. No cash alternative is available.
7. The decision of the judges is final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Commotion Group reserves the right to substitute the prizes for alternatives of equal or greater value.
8. The winners hereby agree that Commotion Group reserves the right to make minor alternations to the recipe/photographs if required by its professional advisors.
